With all the well-wishes for happiness and peace in the new year, I found myself a bit disappointed that January 1, 2015 felt an awful lot like December 31, 2014 did. What was I expecting to be different? I’m not sure.
I was, however, inspired. I wrote myself a letter, from myself on January 1, 2015, to myself next year, on January 1, 2016. I wrote about what I hoped I would have accomplished by then, and how I wanted to make sure I made time for my friends and family over the year. It was like a New Year’s resolution, but with a bit more detail, and a lot more self-love.
The New Year brings so much promise– there is a lot on the to-do list! I was glad for the opportunity to pause and consider what might really happen this year, and what is truly important to me.
I simply cannot wait to spend this next year with you, and for all of us to champion and celebrate each other’s success!
